Into the Mist

drip drip
poured slow gently

tap tap
on the windowsill

rolled flat
on the floor

blue jacket
and a cane

old man lost
on the mist

~  “Hay (Na) ku
Hay nako means oh my gosh or oh my mother in local Filipino dialect.
It was a latest poetry form of 21st century created by my fellow Filipino Ellen Tabios.
It’s been widely embrace by poetic world and had gained rapid popularity.
This form restrict the poet to express his thoughts in long free flowing verse but It chiseled your poem into a small refine one. It was an upgrade of a Japanese haiku on my self opinion. Ellen created it genuinely.
I love it.
Sometimes, as a poet, you have to express your piece with discipline.
